When Sylvia Jeffreys rocked up to the Logies this year in what was quickly described as a ‘giant vagina’ on social media, it seemed we had reached peak vagina fashion.
Between her peach dress, fellow TV presenter, Edwina Bartholomew’s nod to the trend and countless high street interpretations, it suddenly felt as though you couldn’t move for gowns resembling a certain part of the female anatomy.
But now there is a new fashion item to swoop in and take the vagina dress’s crown.
Enter the ‘vagina shouldered top’.
Created by the Australian label, Asilio, their ‘Last Call’ top retails for an impressive AUD $239.95.
While it is described on the site as a ‘tunic top with exposed ruffle sleeves’, the creation more closely resembles a simple grey T-shirt fitted with shoulder decorations that look like labia minoras.
‘Tunic style top that is tapered through the body and sleeves,’ the Asilio site reads.
‘Sleeves feature exposed shoulders and upper arm that is finished with a contrast ruffle trim. Hemline finishes around the hipline. Top opens at the centre back with an invisible zipper.’
